Why do I see a neck seam?
Check undertone first, then opacity. Ensure both face and body use overlays from the same creator family when possible, and keep HQ settings consistent.
Do overlays replace my skin?
Overlays layer on top as skin details. Full skintones replace the base skin. Some creators provide both, while others only provide the facial option.
Will overlays affect performance?

The pack is found under the “right cheek mole” category in skin details. It was updated for patch v1.89.214, so be sure to download the latest version to ensure it works seamlessly in your game.

Do you want your sims to have glowy, smooth skin? Then this skin overlay is perfect for you. It works on female teens through elders and comes in 4 different swatch strengths. So gorgeous!
3. Sims 4 Salome Skin Overlay by ThisIsThem
The Salome skin is a VERY realistic sims 4 skin overlay. It works for teens, young adults, adults, and elder sims. You’ll be given 20 swatches to make this skin fully customizable. You can find it in the skin details category.

The Calluna maxis match skinblend has become one of my go-to’s for making my sims skin look BREATHTAKING. It’s for the face only and comes in four different swatch options.
What I love the most about it, is that it works on toddlers through elders, so your sims can keep the same look through their entire lives. This is an absolute favorite!!
10. Vanilla Sims 4 Default Skin by luumia
Vanilla skin by luumia is a classic and INCREDIBLE default skin for the sims 4. It looks great and includes absolutely everything you need. From cleavage overlays to lip tints, it has it all.
It’s made for all sims and all genders. This is a PERFECT maxis match default skin.
11. Sims 4 Vitiligo Skin Overlay by peachtreees
Finally a Vitiligo skin overlay for the sims 4 that actually looks good! It comes in 3 different versions, so you can customize it however you would like. It works for teen through elder sims and is able to go over male or female skin.
12. Honey Skin Overlay for Sims 4 by MSQSims
The Honey Skin Overlay will give your sim a gorgeous, dewy look. This skin looks especially good on rich, darker-colored sims; however, it does work on all skin tones. It’s for teens through elders and female sims only.
13. Sophie Skin Overlay by Miiko
The Sophia Sims 4 Skin Overlay is absolutely beautiful. It gives your sims a toned and athletic look. Your sim’s facial features will be much more defined, such as their jawline and chin. It reminds me a lot of a body preset, but also gives the skin an airbrushed appearance.

14. Sims 4 Realistic Male Skin Overlay by ThisIsThem
Here we have another male skin overlay that will give your sim an ULTRA realistic appearance. This skin comes with tons of swatches to give you as many options as possible for giving your sim the look you desire. I believe it’s for male sims only and works on ages teen-elder.
15. Pufferfish Sims 4 Maxis Match Skin by missrubybird
The Pufferfish skinblend is great if you’re looking for a maxis match skin that just makes the EA default skin better, without looking out of place in the game.
There is a body swatch available for this skin, which is always amazing. And it works for both male and female sims that are teens and older.

If you want an ultra-realistic look for your elder sims, this is the skin overlay that you need! This skin mod will not only age their face but their body too.
The attention to detail and textures in this skin is amazing. As you can see from the pictures, it’s hard to believe that it’s even in The Sims 4!

Lamatisse makes beautiful skin overlays, skin details, and presets. The strudel skin overlay is no exception. This non-default skin is for all ages and genders of sims. It comes in three varying swatches and includes an original, older version of the skin with the download.
18. Sims 4 Realistic Skin Overlay by Milarasims
This alpha skin overlay for Sims 4 is a fan favorite on The Sims Resource. It’s getting close to 800,000 downloads, so you know it’s a good one.
There are so many comments on it proclaiming that it’s one of the best skins and the only skin players ever use. If you love alpha cc, defiantly give this one a look!!
19. Evermore Skinblend by PlumbHead
This maxis match skin blend will give your sims an airbrushed look. It will work for all ages and genders. Plus it even works on sims with a monolid.
20. Papillon Maxis Match Skin Mod for Sims 4 by viiavi
Papillon is my most-used skinblend. I use it on almost all of my sims. It’s very subtle and the skin still looks like it fits into the game. My sims don’t end up looking completely different and out of place from the other sims in my world. This cc skin is a must-download!!
21. Peanut Skin Overlay by MSQSIMS
The Peanut skin overlay is a gorgeous matte skin that comes with several skin details. There’s a version with and without freckles. Plus the body has a few light moles to increase the realism. It’s for females only and teens through elders.
22. Pearl Non-Default Skinblend by kumikya
If you’re looking for a skinblend that will give your sims super smooth skin, then this one is for you. The Pearl skinblend has been created to be smooth, yet realistic looking. Although the skin has an airbrushed look, the cheekbones and nose are still defined, which makes it absolutely perfect!

This alpha cc skin will make your sims glowy and beautiful. It will work on all skin tones, including bold colors like green and blue. It was made for female sims only and comes in 3 swatches that vary up the contrast and brightness of the skin.

This is one of my absolute favorite sims 4 skin overlays. It is gorgeous!! I love the matte look. It gives your sims this weird mix of realism, yet still cartoony, look. I highly recommend this skin.
